Most guides to AI content tools cover one thing: a poster, a carousel, or a scheduling trick. This playbook covers the whole range a solo creator can realistically build with Claude, Canva, and Blotato, what each media type actually requires, which of two different build paths fits each job, and where the posting automation genuinely ends and your own judgment has to start.

What Can You Actually Build With This Stack?
Six media categories cover most of what a solo creator needs, and each one routes through a different part of the stack. Knowing which tool owns which job upfront saves you from trying to force a website out of Canva or a carousel out of Claude Code.

Path A or Path B: Which Build Method Fits Your Job?
Path A means cloning an existing, professionally designed Canva template and having Claude replace the text and images to fit it. Path B means starting from a blank prompt in Claude Design and building something original from a written description. Neither path is universally better; they solve different problems.
Path A wins on speed and polish for standard formats: a sale announcement, a quote graphic, a weekly carousel template you’ll reuse. Share the template’s URL with Claude and ask it to count the words allowed in each section before writing your replacement copy; matching that word count is what keeps the professional layout from breaking when your text is a different length than the original.
Path B wins when you need something no template quite fits: an interactive prototype, a one-pager with a layout nobody else has, or a design system meant to anchor everything else you build. Claude Design lets you describe a goal and generates a first version, then offers several directions to choose between rather than one fixed output, at the cost of more setup time than cloning a template.
Making Single Graphics, Infographics, and Carousels
This is the highest-volume, lowest-effort category, and it runs entirely through the Canva connector once it’s set up. For a single graphic, describe the goal directly, “a square announcement graphic for a 48-hour sale,” and Claude will typically return a few visual directions to choose from rather than one fixed result.
Carousels need a bit more planning since they’re multi-slide projects. Choose a multi-slide template in Canva, share it with Claude, and ask for a slide-by-slide copy plan before any design work happens, so you’re approving the structure once instead of catching problems slide by slide. Canva’s Magic Resize feature then handles turning one finished design into the different dimensions each platform expects, which is the step that eats the most manual time in a non-AI workflow.
Infographics follow the same template-first pattern: clone an infographic layout in Canva, then ask Claude to pull the actual numbers and claims from a blog post you’ve already published or a data screenshot you upload, rather than inventing illustrative figures to fill the space. A data visual built on invented numbers is worse than no data visual at all, so this is a category where it’s worth double-checking the source material made it into the final design accurately.
Building Motion Graphics Without a Video Editor
Motion graphics are the one category here with genuine technical setup, and it’s worth being upfront about that before you commit time to it. This path uses Remotion, an open-source framework that builds video from code, controlled through Claude Code rather than regular Claude chat.
Setup requires installing Node.js and Claude Code, which needs a paid subscription, then running a scaffold command (commonly npx create-video@latest) to start a new project. From there, you describe the animation in plain English, an example prompt might specify duration, color palette, and motion style, and Claude writes the underlying code without you needing to know React or JavaScript yourself. You can preview the result in a local browser window before rendering, and rendering is CPU-intensive enough that a modern multi-core machine noticeably speeds things up.
If a terminal and the phrase “install Node.js” already make you want to close the tab, this is a reasonable category to skip entirely and lean on Canva’s simpler built-in resize and animation tools instead, which cover basic motion for social posts without any code.
A note on two names that get mixed up here: Higgsfield is a separate, multi-model AI video and image platform, useful for turning a product photo or prompt into a polished video clip, and is a genuine cost add-on ($30 to $90+/month depending on the tier) on top of this core stack if you want that level of video polish. It is not a vector or logo tool. If you need a scalable SVG logo or icon set, Recraft (currently V4.1) is the separate tool built for that. The two get conflated in casual guides fairly often; they solve different problems.
Slide Decks, Prototypes, and Simple Websites
This is Path B territory, built inside Claude Design at claude.ai/design, currently in beta and available to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers.
For a slide deck, choose the Slide Deck option, upload an outline or source document, and refine using inline comments pointed at specific slides rather than re-describing the whole deck each time. Finished decks export to PowerPoint, PDF, or a standalone HTML file. For a simple website or landing page, Claude Design’s Prototype mode builds an interactive mockup from a description of your sections, which can then be handed off to Claude Code for deployment through services like Netlify or Vercel if you want it live on the web rather than just clickable in a preview.

Automating the Actual Posting
Once content exists, Blotato handles getting it onto your accounts, connected to Claude through a custom connector at the server address https://mcp.blotato.com/mcp. On claude.ai, Claude Desktop, or Claude Cowork, this connects through OAuth (log into Blotato in your browser and approve); a paid Blotato plan is required first, there is no free tier for API or MCP access.
Once connected, you can ask Claude to publish immediately, queue a post into the next open slot on your existing schedule, or make bulk changes, adding a promo code to a week’s worth of already-scheduled captions in one command, for example. What this setup does not do is post on its own initiative. The connector only takes action inside a conversation you start; there’s no independent trigger watching a calendar and firing without you. If a post looks wrong in Blotato’s dashboard after Claude queues it, particularly aspect ratio, which is the most common miss, it’s worth a manual check before it goes live rather than assuming the connector got the platform’s dimensions right.
Choosing Where to Start
Trying to set up every category in this playbook in one sitting is the fastest way to abandon all of them. A more workable order is to start with single social graphics through Canva, since that path has the lowest setup cost and the fastest payoff, then add Blotato once you’re comfortable with the design side, then move into slide decks or motion graphics only once you have an actual need for one of them. The categories that need real technical comfort, motion graphics and website deployment specifically, are worth treating as optional rather than a checklist you have to complete. Plenty of solo creators run a complete, effective content operation using only the Canva and Blotato pieces of this stack and never touch Claude Code at all.
